BREATHE Together Marriage Event

Rick and Kay Warren cordially invite the parents of children (of any age) who live with mental illness to a one-day marriage enrichment event called BREATHE Together, on August 23, 2025 at the beautiful Rancho Capistrano Retreat Center. While marriage itself can be challenging, the profound stress of parenting a child with mental illness can result in significant emotional, relational, physical, and communications breakdowns with our partners. This can all leave us feeling isolated and unsupported, which is the opposite of God’s design for marriage. We invite you to embrace a day of respite to turn toward your spouse, find community with other couples walking a similar journey, and come away with a renewed sense of hope as you breathe together. Come worship, laugh, cry, and reflect with us through Rick and Kay’s candid teaching, great worship, interactive workshops, and fun activities. We can’t wait to be with you!

2025 BREATHE Retreat

The BREATHE Retreat is a restorative retreat for moms of children (of any age) with mental health challenges. The gentle, slow pace of the weekend is designed to renew and replenish the body, soul, and spirit of weary moms. The retreat offers personal counsel from a mental health professional, focused prayer, the calming experiences of Christ-centered yoga, aromatherapy, and a variety of creative expressions designed to bring pleasure and peace. Our teacher and host for the weekend, Kay Warren, shares her personal story of parenting a child with serious mental illness, as well as the wholistic practices she adopted and implemented while journeying with her son, Matthew. The retreat also offers the opportunity to connect in community with other moms walking this journey.
